Private tours can be customized in length, route, and included amenities (charcuterie and wine, photography, custom itineraries). Contact us to discuss your event.
Do you operate year-round?
Yes — Rich Valley Adventures operates across all four seasons. Summer and fall are our busiest periods for hiking, fly fishing, mountain biking, and paddle boarding. Winter brings snowshoeing, winter Escalade tours, and ice fishing on the Frying Pan River. Spring (April–May) offers excellent fly fishing as rivers come into prime condition.
What to Bring
What should I wear and bring?
Dress in moisture-wicking synthetic or wool layers — no cotton. A waterproof outer shell is recommended for mountain activities. Sturdy hiking boots or trail shoes are required for hiking and snowshoeing. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are essential at Aspen's altitude. We send a full packing list specific to your activity when you book.
Fly Fishing
Is a Colorado fishing license required for fly fishing trips?
Yes — Colorado requires a fishing license for anglers 16 and older. We can arrange your license in advance and apply the fee to your trip, or you can purchase one online at cpw.state.co.us. One-day and multi-day licenses are available.
Accessibility
Are your adventures suitable for people with physical limitations?
We do our best to accommodate guests with mobility challenges, chronic conditions, or other physical considerations. Please contact us in advance to discuss your specific situation. Some activities (paddle boarding, gentle valley hikes) are more accessible than others (high-altitude hiking, technical mountain biking).
